Sollys are currently looking for a Night Shift Long Haul Class 5 Driver who is professional, proactive and passionate about driving.

The position available is based from our Depot in Richmond. If you have experience driving Class 5 trucks then we are looking to talk with you. You will be a physically fit, conscientious, team minded driver with good work ethics and a strong customer focus. Initially the position will be part time but there will be consideration to move to Full Time Permanent as circumstances dictate.

You will be primarily operating a tractor unit based in Richmond and carting Mussels across the local Nelson-Marlborough region. Some weekend and night work is involved. This role could include variety and will suit someone who likes to do a bit of everything. In addition to driving you will be required to help load and unload trucks in the depot. Forklift experience would be advantageous. There will also be times when you may have to fill in on class 4 trucks whilst other staff are away.

You will be part of the Sollys team that has a wide range of trucks in the fleet including Bulk Units, Lift Out Side Tippers, Rock and Gravel Units, Curtain-siders, Flat Decks, Livestock and more.

About the positions:
Based out of our Takaka Depot, you will be working with and learning from our Contracting Crew as a General Hand or you may already have some Machine Operator experience. If you are willing to learn you will be trained in the operation of Excavators and other heavy machinery. This is a great pathway to build a career with Sollys as a Machine Operator.

About you:
You will be the kind of person who is motivated to learn and one who has the confidence to ask questions when necessary. With a keen interest in the civil contracting industry, you will be comfortable stepping into our fast paced and safety compliant environment. You will have a Full Class 1 Driver Licence and if you have a Class2+ and WTR these are beneficial, although not essential. Training will be provided to the successful applicants.

We have scheduled runs out of both Nelson and Christchurch to the West Coast including deliveries direct on farm. We are not limited to these areas with nationwide services available.
